Bridgeport resident Jose Manuel Santos, 36, has been arrested and charged with transferring obscene materials to a minor and enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, for his relationship with a 13-year-old girl.

According to the complaint that was released last week, police investigators received information that Santos was sexually soliciting the teen when her mother provided her cell phone to police.

Durham said that “preliminary analysis of the cell phone revealed a sexually explicit photo of Santos that Santos sent to the minor victim, and text messages from Santos, including a text message asking the minor victim to send him a sexually explicit photo of her.”

Santos was arrested on Friday, Nov. 2 and remains detained. He faces up to 20 years in prison if he is convicted. No future court date for Santos has been announced.
